More "American" than French, with an open kitchen, great and friendly service probably the best hamburgers in Paris. Metro is Les Sablons.

If you want an authentic, "roots" cafe experience, this small family run cafe/restaurant, may not be Michelin level food-but it's all home made, with the menu changing every day, besides the usual "steak/frites" etc. Food's served only at lunch time. Open from 6 AM - 9 PM -Metro Les Sablons. AND, when I am in Paris, sometimes I am a waiter at lunch time!

Sebillon is famous for it's lamb, carved in front of you at your table-all you can eat. Also excellent seafood. They have a friendly team of waiter. good wine list, and a true Parisien atmosphere. Metro stop is Porte Maillot.

Japanese food is in a "boom" mode in Paris these days, BUT, most of the restaurants are NOT run by Japanese which I find difficult, especially when eating sushi/sashimi Stay away from places like "Lo Sushi." I have seen the way they handle the fish. Though it is trendy and popular, well located near the Champs Elysses, it's far from being of good quality. . It's even more difficult when reading reviews posted by people who "know" about Japanese food?

Beautiful place to eat on a small island in the middle of the Seine .Inside there are high ceilings, a dinasour skelleton hanging from the ceiling and a relaxed atmosphere. Outside, open air terrace. Food is good, ambiance cool and casual and the service is great. Parking no problem.

Lo Scudetto

For some years I would visit Stolkholm about once per year, and ALWAYS ate Italian food here. Small and cozy and the owner is always there to not only take your order and describe exactly what's on the menu, but is willing to change things to suit your tastes. He has an excellent wine list and he knows them all very well.

HIKAGE CHAYA

In the seaside village of Hayama, this historical restaurant offers the finest in traditional Japanese cuisine. Family owned for 14 generations, it is the oldest restaurant in northern Japan. Beautiful gardens and decor. A trueJapanese experience. Nearest train station is Zushi, about 550 mins from Tokyo.

In the Shonan area, near the Zushi Marina, this small Italian resturant is excellent. Most of the time it's fullly booked as well. Nearests train stations are Zushi or Kamakura.

Also in the Shonan area, near Kamakura Station.. Walk up "komachi dori" and take your first left. Walk about 100 meters and just before the railroad crossing, you will this this excellent Italian restaurant. Very friendly service, and open until midnight!8rare for Japan)
